NYE 2013

NYE was pretty calm this year.  We were missing the Fords, since they just welcomed baby Landree into the world the week before, and Kelly and Scott made a prior commitment, which left us, Coppernolls, and the newly weds, who had to work the next morning bright and early, so they made an exit prior to the countdown.  And this year we were lucky enough to have the birthday boy join us, too!  The kids were so excited to see each other!  They hadn't played together since August!!!  That's a long time with no Coppernolls.  :(

We did our elastic waist attire again this year, which I'm declaring an annual tradition from this point out.  We fancied up the menu a tad this year and had pork filets which were a big hit.  Kristi put on a sequin top to go along with our meal.  :)  We sang happy birthday to Uncle Michael over some peanut butter bars, too.  He was thrilled.  :)

Chad entertaining the kiddos...
Time for some board game entertainment before the count down.

Now who wouldn't want to party with these guys?

Welcoming the New Year!

The kids went outside (kind of....it lasted all of 8 seconds) to bang on some pans...eh...it was cold.
And then they zonked out...Blake with gun nearby and dart on his face....LOL!

Phil...in the traditional dad position
Landon....out.
Charli...snuggled up
And this guy....still hanging in there.
This picture was actually taken New Years Day when Phil and Kristi went to meet Landree and take the Ford Family some grub.  We kept the cough-ers at our house.  :)
Here's our chalk board wall...started by yours truly and finished by Captain Creativity, Lando...
Explanation:  There's a guy on the boat saying 'see ya chum!' and taking down his flag that says 2013 and putting up the 2014 one.  And he read the 'bon voyage' as 'bon voyagee'.  This is all Bugs Bunny influenced.  And entertaining fo sho.
Here's the other wall

I'm wrapping up the year with the timer pictures...and yes there are a few of them, but I've got to put them in. We missed you Fords and Mehrings.  :(
Good-bye 2013!!  Lots of memories made...many more to come!  We are one blessed family.
