State Tournament Surprise!

So back at the beginning of October, Coach looked at the play off schedule and said:

Coaches' Wives!

"There's no way we're going to make it to the state tournament this year.  We'd have to get past Urbana, Glenwood, AND Springfield High.  It ain't happenin.  I'm going to get on PriceLine and book a good deal at our favorite hotel in Rosemont for Veteran's Day weekend so we can have our end of soccer get away."  And I of course, consented, because that's what I do....whatever he says...(wink, wink, wink)

 

And so the weekend was booked....

and then...

Grant, Tinlee, Addie, Brayden, and Landon

we made it past Springfield High, then beat Urbana, then took out Glenwood AT Glenwood , and then we had to sell our Pricelined hotel deal on Facebook to the Fords.  :)  We went to Chicago, but it wasn't as romantic as planned since we had 24 high school boys tagging along with us, plus two little Rocket fans as well. :)   But we all lived happily every after because the Rockets brought home a 3rd place trophy, and represented the rest of the state south of Chicago.  We're always proud to be Rockets, but we were especially proud to be by far the SMALLEST school at the tournament.  

And the next weekend, we rescheduled our weekend getaway, too....I didn't want you to worry about that.  ;)  And minus me being sick the first day we were there AND forgetting ALL of my makeup and shoes, it was a super fun weekend.  ;)
