This was Landon's 3rd season as a Dow Ragan Destroyer. The Destroyers had a 'rebuilding' season as Chad would call it. We played up with the 5-6 league for the first time and it really showed that we were all FIVE and not SIX. Some of these kids we were playing against were first graders and looked to be nearly my height. Not that that's giant or anything but when you're Landon's size it makes quite the difference. We were nervous of how Landon would do with the competition given his previous performances of frustration when someone proves to be better than him, but the season went extremely well. There were zero tears and lots of fun. Having just as much fun as Landon (who scored one goal for the season) was his little brother who was a little easier to keep OFF the field this time around as long as there as a ball to be played with behind us.
