Landon had his end of the year program for preschool on May 9. The day we got the email that they had chosen their parts in the 'Two by Two' play I came home from school, dropped my bags and asked Landon what animal he drew out of the hat. He said totally seriously, "Mom. I'm not an animal. I'm NOAH!" He was super pumped. It was adorable. I texted one of his teachers, Mrs. Monari, that we're good friends with and she called me to let me know she had to talk Landon into the part. He just wasn't sure until she told him she needed a captain for the boat. Then he was in, but he wasn't excited about it. He had definitely changed his tune by the time he got home. What made it even better was that Mrs. Noah was being played by his little friend Hadley whom we've known since she was born too. Hadley's mom Heather and I taught together in New Berlin and got to be good friends there. We had a baby shower together when we were expecting Hadley and Landon. So fun to see them growing up together.
The play started out with Noah and the Mrs. in traditional biblical gear, but when they were trying to decide how to get the animals to board the ship they settled on selling it as a cruise and there was a costume change.
The host and hostess greeted all the animals as they boarded the ship
Then of course there was some adorable singing while all the raining was going on.
Then right when you thought things were gonna take a turn for the worse because all of those animals were getting grumpy being on that ship....the sun came out!
And all of them got to get off that boat!
The kids took off their costumes and then did some sign language and singing that was even more adorable.
All of the parents and grandparents clapped, everyone had cookies and punch, and the mommies took lots of pictures. I had Landon put his Capt. hat and jacket back on and stand by the rainbow....and this was the pose he struck on his own. He may be the next Brad Pitt folks.
This was after I giggled and said, 'ok now SMILE!'
And then with the other Mrs(es)? How do you make Mrs. plural?! Mrs. Bane!
Mrs. Williams!
Mrs. Monari!
Creighton and Landon! Had to have one of these for the graduation slide show!
Papa and Grandma got to come...
and so did Daddy but he had to jet out to make it back before any pictures
and one proud Mommy with her two handsome boys.
