Taking four kids to the beach is a lot of work folks. They need a lot of stuff. Sand toys, shade, (aka tent and 2 umbrellas), drinks and snacks, towels, blankets and binkies (when they're tired)....not to mention that those hauling all of these things also require a cooler and music, etc. Day 2 was the day the Mehrings and the Kutschers realized that a trip to the beach may be a little romanticized. Don't get me wrong, the kids played great in the sand...for 20 minutes. But after haulin' all their crap down there and dealin' with the blazing sun and all their whining, we were a little well, um, yeah....
Hey, let's go to the pool kids! Here are some pics from the 20 minutes they WERE entertained.

And we DID go to the pool later that day, but there were no pictures taken because we were too busy trying to remove Landon from our hips, absolutely terrified of the water. Different approaches were taken (patient, persuasive mommy, sink or swim suck it up daddy, etc) and to no avail. He spent time where he was forced to be removed from our hips sitting on the steps of the pool. Still wore both of them out though. Thank goodness for laptop computers. That's all I can say.
