So since we spent Thanksgiving here in Rochester then in Kendallville, we missed seeing Grandpa and Grandma Nees. It worked out perfectly though because Grandma and Mom came up the following Friday and came to my aide making hand prints for our hand print calendars we give as parent Christmas gifts in first grade. I think we figured they did 6 months of hand prints, some of which required 2 prints each (and one was 4 prints each) times 20 kids....that's A. LOT. OF. HAND PRINTS. I'm always appreciative of productive helpers. Friday evening Michael came up and we had pizza. Then Saturday morning Grandpa and Dad came up and joined the party. We did our 'Thanksgiving' at lunch.

Grant and his basketball inspiration, Uncle Michael. If his mild obsession with basketball continues, we'll start praying he gets some height from the same gene Uncle Michael got his from. (cause 6 foot is flippin TALL people! At least in this family)
Showing Grandma ALL the things we'd like to have for Christmas...and believe me, it took awhile.

Papa, strutting his celebrity status at our house. Not many people get stalked at the door 10 minutes BEFORE their arrival around here. And Grant, eating Papa's Thanksgiving dinner instead of his own.
Snuggle and story time with Grandpa Forrest, while Michael and Dad enjoying the couch with their matching lap top laps.
Who's up for some Elefun?!
And here are our niece and nephew all snuggled up enjoying some peace and quiet (which is few and far between around here)

Okay, WHAT is heaven's name is going on here, you say? Well it's a two fold story really... the first thread involves us taking out screws that are too high for the ladder to reach and the second thread is after seeing this picture, I've been inspired to start doing Insanity (for real....WITH the calendar, AND my friend Kristi, who will MAKE ME DO IT.) Good grief Michael, I don't know how you held me up long enough to remove those 3 inch screws!
Evidently he wasn't up for holding me up there long enough to remove the wall anchors since he took his life in his own hands and put Mom and Chad at the bottom of a ladder to remove those. All in the name of good interior decor. Somethings are worth the risk (of your brother's safety) :) Love you, Michael!!!
