Grant's 2nd birthday was on a Friday this year. We woke him up and served him some birthday pancakes (his favorite breakfast)....and just in case you were wondering, pancakes straight from the pan are hot enough on the inside to melt birthday candles. Tuck that under your hat for future reference. ;) Love the birthday yawn...

But when you cut up the pancakes you can't even tell the middles were removed! Also, this is why Grant's binky blankie smells like his breakfast all the time. He requires it to be near his plate so he can get binky fixes in between bites. If that's not a sign of a binky addict I don't know what is.

He went to Lindsay's for the morning (where she took him to Starbucks for a birthday cookie pop....she spoils our boys!! : ) Then Mom and Dad came into town and picked him up for the afternoon. We had McDonald's in my classroom for lunch and then Papa took the boys home and Mom worked more on my stinkin hand prints. :)
Later that evening we let Grant finger paint for the first time. He is quite the ar-tiste! He kept using the paint containers to bang on the paper to add texture. ;) He's a genius! and a super messy one at that. (video below)

Grandpa and Grandma left the next morning to get back for Dad to sing at church. Not before posing for this pic. :) Happy B-Day Granters!
