Happy 5th Birthday, Landon!

Okay, I know this sounds lame and totally cliche, but I still have to say it, I CAN'T BELIEVE HE'S FIVE. Landon woke up to his fifth birthday with Papa and Grandma here. There were pancakes and donuts of course and he opened his MobiGo from us. It was funny because he opened it, we opened the box for him, I handed it to him while I started reading directions and by the time I found the English side of the directions, he had already gotten it on and was playing a game. And even more amazing....Grant plays with it as much as Landon. It's like this technology stuff is just like the foreign language window or something. They can just pick it up and do it. Creepy kinda. This picture isn't creepy though....how cute is that?
Mom and Dad left after lunch and later in the evening we went to pick up Landon's friend Creighton and went to the Pizza Machine with the Kutscher Fam + the Coppernolls. Landon picked out an IronMan chocolate cake. Can you tell he was jazzed?
The Pizza Machine was a great spot for a December par-tay. It's kinda like Chuck E. Cheese but feels cleaner and was way less crowded. It also had an ENORMOUS projection screen that we could watch the Illinois game on. (bonus)

The kids loved the slide....
and of course ski ball was a hit. The two big boys were pretty good, but you really had to watch the lil guy here. You never knew if the ball was going to go forwards or backwards. Not to mention he made every attempt to climb ONTO the ski ball machine. :)

...maybe racing was a better fit for him. And I know this makes me sound like a doting mother, but I really don't feel comfortable with the weaponry yet....it's fine...it was his birthday and he IS five, but no way am I allowing something like this in our home yet. Grant wasn't sure about the slide at first. Creighton was so good to him....waiting for him to walk up. I don't think that leg could go much higher.

While we were eating pizza the kids entertained us all with an array of knock knock jokes. It was a very limited array, because mostly what you find humorous at age 4-5 is 'butt' and 'underpants.' I've got a good clip for you here...if you enjoy this kind of humor as well. :)

Does five mean you act goofy all the time? What's with the bug eyes?! :)
Sophia, wishing she was eatin pizza but havin cereal instead.

And after the pizza, but before cake....presents and then a jail bird pic.

The boys were impressed there was a Pizza Machine van....I actually think Daddy was more impressed than the boys. They were mostly a little bummed we were leaving. Happy 5th Birthday, to my sweet boy #1!
