Elmer, our Elf on the Shelf, arrived on Saturday morning, December 1st this year. He made quite a little mess, leaving a marshmallow trail from the boys' bedroom down to the kitchen where we had a fun Christmas kick off breakfast. Grant woke up first. I heard the swish, swish, swish of his diaper coming down the hall and then he was six inches from my face. "Mom! There's a mess in dere! Marshmallows!" We had to wake Landon up to show him, too. In true Kutscher boy fashion, Landon was concerned about the mess, and Grant bent over every two steps to grab the marshmallows off the floor and toss them in his mouth.

Landon was also not easily convinced they should EAT the reindeer donuts, because maybe Elmer had made them for Santa! We finally talked him into trying it after we argued the donuts would definitely be stale by the time Santa came on the 25th.
Grandma Ruth made each of the boys Advent calendars this year, and Lindsey made us this very cool family Advent calendar, too. Elmer and I put our heads together and did some scheduling and planning with the family calendar. After doing it this year, I have some more tweeks I'm going to add next year. We definitely enjoyed the Advent season more because of the calendars. Thank you Grandma and Lindsey!
Landon also was not a fan of the peppermint milk, but finally tried a sip as to not offend Elmer and his hard work.
Grant scarfed down everything and then helped with the marshmallow clean up, too. :)
