Here's one little moment though. Landon has a wooden treasure box that he totes around...all his treasure...with. :) He decided Grant needed one, too. So with the help of Daddy and a piece of an IKEA box, they made one...and the boys painted it together. They shouldn't be trusted too much with paints. Hehe!
Now, back to that bike. So we promised Landon we'd get him a new bike when he learned to ride without training wheels. We didn't promise WHEN though. The plan was to get him one for Christmas...until...
I backed over the old bike with the Yukon.
Oops.
In my defense however, it was left halfway on the driveway, halfway in the yard, and with my concentration on not hitting Chad's car, I backed over the tired and bent it up pretty good. Guess it was time to pay up on the promise of a new bike a little sooner than we thought.
After looking at Wal-Mart, and seeing very little, we picked one out online and had it delivered to the door step. My kind of shopping. The bike Landon chose was orange and blue (appropriate right?) AND holds a Nerf gun. Look out!
It's also bigger than the bike he learned on, which I was a little nervous about, but he took to it right away. So proud of this guy and all the growing up he's done this summer! Look at him go, folks!
He's getting so good that we've taken him on the three and a half mile loop down to the park and around and he's done awesome!
Good work Lando!! (and Daddy!)
