Wrigley Courtesy of Uncle Bob and Aunt Lou :)

While the boys and I were home for Hankins fest we were hooked up with tickets for the Cardinal Cub Game at Wrigley from Uncle Bob and Aunt Lou.  Four tickets!  And SWEET ones too!  We invited Phil and Kristi to go up with us for the Sunday evening game.  Chad worked his magic on Priceline and got us rooms at the Hyatt in Rosemont.  So we went up Sunday in time for a late lunch at the Hofbrauhaus House.  Chad had been dying to go since last time we were up in the area and saw that it was almost ready to open.  After we had our fill of sausage and schnitzel, we checked in to the hotel.  We raised our eyebrows quite a bit because of a convention that was occuring at a different hotel in the area.  Eeks.  One of several reasons we were glad we had Phil and Kristi with us and not the little guys!  We started the trek downtown which involved the train and a bus.  (another reason) and we even had a drink at the Cubbie Bear (another reason).  The weather was beautiful and our seats were fantastic.  Right down the first base line in the outfield...but as the game got going we realized they were also prime for smoked foul balls (another reason).

We were able to see Uncle Bob and Aunt Lou, and Rob and Courtney.  Chad and I were removed from their seating area though by an usher who thought Chad had made up my existence in order to loiter.  I know...we're rebels.  :)  There was a debate about leaving the game a little early...we were at the top of the 8th...but we were really glad we didn't leave when Yadi hit a homerun to really seal the deal on the win for our red birds.  We had another drink at one of the restaurants near our hotel and then called it a night.  We had to rest up for our run to IKEA the next day of course.  Fortunately the boys were able to hang with us for the 3 and half hour spree...which ended with purchase highlights of the rest of our entertainment unit for our living room, some storage baskets, and house plants.  Then we rewarded ourselves with Giordanos.  :)

Good times, good times.
