Aunt Lou, Lori and Bay stayed in Hord with us, too. We had some late nights of games, popcorn, and laughs. (mixed with some wine and rum)
When in Hord...
...you must go for tractor rides.
I was very impressed with Lindsey's wardrobe planning for this photo opp.
When in Hord you must...throw water balloons. Along with being a good wardrobe planner, Lindsey also is a great sport as she becomes a target for the boys.
When in Hord you must
...eat fresh corn on the cob.
We also spent some time throwing rocks into Mawmaw's creek. And speaking of good sports...Aunt Lou, crawling into the creek for something important I'm sure. Those boys said jump, and she said how high. :)
I'm not sure what was happening here, but we were all enthralled.
I am in. love. with this picture. Everyone loves the Mawmaw. :)
And here's another family member, catering to our children's every need. Baseball time with Bay.
Dad found a locust shell and it became entertainment for nearly 10 minutes. Here's Landon picking it off of Dad's shirt, right before we named him Leonard, found him a wife and baby and drew him a house with a mailbox out of side walk chalk. Good times.
Mawmaw with the great grands. (a few of them)
We sure love those curls, Flap Jack, but your hairdresser lives states away. Gotta get a trim while ya can.
Cuz Tub Time
Grant and Grandma with his favorite book, Blue Hat, Green Hat
and reading it with Aunt Lori, too!
We hit up the Effingham County fair, too. Animal barns were a hit
I think Grant liked the poultry barn the best. Anytime someone would cackle or cluck him and Papa tried to find who it was. Grant got a good charge out of that game.
Lemonade shake up! (but eewwww...it has floaties)
Corn dogs are delicious though.
Landon was brave and tried funnel cake for the first time. It paid off.
Wewaxing time....checking out a library book
...and then we found a woolly worm! First time either of the boys had ever seen one. For SHAME!
this boy has the best dimples. Ever.
We played some Uno with Grandpa Forrest and Grandma Ruth!
Grant and Papa were an unstoppable duo
Hord, we bid you adieu....til Thanksgiving-ish. That seems like a long way away...good thing the people of Hord (and dog) can come to Rochester.
