'Help' with Harvest

We went home the weekend after Father's Day.  Michael was home helping dad with the wheat harvest.  The boys were excited to 'help' too.
Grant was thrilled with his ride in the grain truck, which 'had no seat and no buckles!' And Landon rode in the combine which 'was fun for a couple of minutes.'
I call this photo:  The Farmer's Wife
equipped with peanut butter sandwich and a shotgun.  The farmer's wife is always prepared and supportive.

And the son in law is always good for a comedic pose.

Why the heavy artillery you ask?  Groundhogs.  Scads of them.  Don't worry though, they were all safe.  The farmer isn't a very good shot.  ;)

Uncle Michael the jungle gym

put some rags on these boys' tummies....their floor dusters!

We caught some 'fire bugs' (combination of firefly and lightning bug) and then set them free the next night.

We got to see Grandma Linda, Grandma Ruth, and Grandpa Forrest all this trip, too!
