World Cup Fever (Father's Day EVERYDAY)

Well, Dad isn't the only one in this house who has World Cup Fever this year.  Lando is IN.TO.IT.  I found this cool World Cup website for kids and started cranking out some projects for this guy.  He made this world map and labeled the countries. (It was his idea to color the country like it's flag.  Creative!)
And here's a little sampling of the walls look like in his room.  All Lando, some markers, and some scotch tape.  So yeah.  I'd say he's got World Cup Fever.

Chad convinced me (against my better judgement) that all of us should go downtown to the Alamo to watch the first US game with the Springfield American Outlaws.  Upon hearing the name of the group, Landon was automatically opposed.  :)  We all went though.  Here are my US fans before the game.  We're counting this as the Father's Day pic...even though it was taken the day after.

Here's the only picture from the actual Father's Day.  Yippee!!  A weed eater/snow blower!  :)

So back to the first US game.  USA vs. Ghana.
We got to the Alamo early enough to stake out a table and good thing, because man did it get crowded quick.  The intensity was a little much, amplified by the crowd and the heat.  Our little intense fan took in the first half of the game, and then I made a bee line out with both of my little guys.  End of my Sweet Home Alabama stunt...having my babies...in a bar.
We watched the rest of the game from the comfort of the couch with a cool temp.  So much better.

...but as you can tell....we were still intently watching team USA.

And the win!!!!  2-1

Let's wrestle to celebrate!  (ugh)

Here's Grant's Father's day writing...let's go ahead and mention this was the school year of the one to one Chromebook conversion at school.  Obvious?  Ummm yeah.
