A Summer Picnic=Education

So sometime at the end of summer we took the boys to Washington Park for a picnic lunch and to feed the ducks.  This ended in a little education....on two topics...NOT included in the Common Core.  Boom.  

Topic A:  Exposure to multi-cultures

 Landon taking in a (ahem) multi-cultural conversation happening not far (enough) away from us by a few teenage Springfieldian kids.  :/  :/  (don't stare honey.  it's not polite.  it doesn't matter how loudly they're talking, just don't look.  and for gosh sakes...don't repeat anything they said)

 Topic B:  if the ducks aren't that hungry, they don't care about your bread crumbs and Cheerios

 Finally....a duck who decided to oblige us.

 Let's hit the playground where we don't have to learn any lessons.

Best idea we've had all day.
