He's a Hall of Famer!

Saturday we swung by McKendree to cheer on Uncle Stallion, who was inducted into the McKendree Sports Hall of Fame, in the Homecoming parade.  There was a double booking of the Kutscher family this weekend...Chad's cousin Heather got married in southern Illinois and since Chad had a game on Friday we didn't head down until Saturday morning.  Perfect timing to make a pit stop halfway through our drive to cheer for one of the greatest Offensive Linemen ever to wear a Bearcat uniform.

Two products of McKendree....the boys in front of the fountain

Parade pics....I wasn't exactly prepared for the candy scene.  Josie (also a member of the Uncle Stallion cheering squad just on the Mehring side), Landon and Grant made a hauling....

...as indicated by my purse and its contents

After the parade, we paraded through the old part of campus in search of the relocated bookstore.  To the left of this picture is the building where Chad and I first had a class together and I was annoyed by his tardiness for the first time ever (but little did I know, it wasn't to be the last.  :)   )

It's been a few years since we walked down these sidewalks...flashback!  (had to snap back to reality and yell,  'stop running before you fall'....that was a little different)

Congratulations, Uncle Stallion...

...from three of your biggest fans!

And a few more who've been fans even longer.  :)

Josie wasn't sold on Bogey....

Landon was game though...you'll see this picture again if Landon continues the Kutscher tradition and joins the Bearcat family.  (and if you feel so compelled we're accepting monetary donations to support that decision.  Holy crap...)
Go Bearcats!
And more importantly,
Go Uncle Stallion!!!
We're proud of you!! (hey too bad you didn't have that nickname and college btw...)
