Hope you all had a hippity hoppity happy holiday with your families! We've had a fun and busy weekend making the stops on the Bunny Trail. We were at Mom and Dad's Friday and Saturday, Grandma Linda's this morning, and Larry and Chris's this afternoon. Chad had games this weekend so he didn't make the trip to Effingham. Landon had a great time seeing Uncle Michael and tormenting Oliver. He played his first game of pool (well, he rolled the balls for about 20 minutes and put a few into the pockets, before he was drug kicking and screaming off his step stool). He helped Papa clean up tree limbs and blow out the candles on his birthday cake, and saw Grandma Ruf and Grandpa Forrest. I completed a draft of the rest of my final paper, FINALLY finished Scotty's curtains which I've been sewing for quite some time now (with the help of Mom), and pinned together some new binkie ribbon blankies for the up and coming arrival of several friend's babies.
One thing that did not happen at Mom and Dad's was a whole lot of sleepin'. I
know you've heard my complaints about lack of sleep almost weekly, but this is getting ridiculous. Landon refuses to sleep in the crib at mom and dad's unless it's for a nap that we trick him into. So, that means we're snuggle buddies and this snuggle buddy doesn't get a whole lot of sleep when the other snuggle buddy flails every limb about ruthlessly in bed and never ceases to drape his body over mine in every possible position through the ENTIRE NIGHT. Between trying to scoot him over, getting in and out of the bed on different sides to create more room, jumping to grab his foot because he was about to fall out of the bed, and the times where he sat st
raight up in bed and yelled, "MOMMY! MOMMY!" and grabbed my neck, I managed to get probably about 3 to 4 hours of sleep both nights. Sigh. Yawn. This morning we got up and got our Easter duds on. As you clearly saw in the picture above, Landon had a sweet outfit. All patriarchs of the family have raised their eyebrows today at his outfit, but I did draw the line when Landon asked me to paint his nails when I was doing mine last night. It could've been worse. :) I thought he looked precious. I promise not to make him wear something like this for his senior picture. Michael and Dad were having a good laugh ab
out it this morning, when Michael made a good point that this outfit has some definite similarities to the tux Dad got married in (minus the shorts of course). So, we went to church with Mom and Dad and managed to be 10 minutes late because I misplaced my car keys. NICE. Losing things seems to me my new thing. After church we went to Grandma Linda's. Needless to say the 2 hour drive back up here was a long one running on 3 hours of sleep. Snuggle Buddy of course napped the whole way. Ah to be 2 again.

nd Chris's Landon was in a foul mood to say the least. I think that nap actually did more harm than good. It took him a good couple hours not to be a total crab. He DID NOT want to hunt Easter Eggs. He DID NOT want to have his picture taken. He DID NOT want to do anything anyone else wanted to do. And he let his displeasure be known to everyone. He did manage to recover when all the Easter baskets were passed out and was pleasant the rest of the afternoon/evening. Of course, who isn't agreeable when their stomach is stuffed full of chocolate and they have new toys. :)

For those of you who don't recognize all of these beautiful children: left is Julia and new baby Alyssa, and right is Liam, all who belong to Chad's cousin Brett and his wife Heather. Between Landon and Liam is Baby Abby, who belongs to Chad's sister Kelly and her husband Scott (aka Uncle Stallion). I'm off to bed...and really looking forward to it. :) HAPPY EASTER!
